Newsletter sign-ups. When you subscribe via our newsletter form, we collect the email address you provide. We use it only to deliver the PowerPost.pk newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email or by contacting us.
Contact and advertising forms. When you fill our contact, press, or advertise form, we collect the name, email, company, message, and any other fields you fill in. We use that data only to reply to you and, where relevant, to handle commercial or editorial follow-up.
Article view counts. Each article tracks an anonymous view counter so popular content can be surfaced in the "Most Read" widget. We do not associate views with individual users.
PowerPost.pk uses third-party analytics tools to understand how the site is used so we can improve it:
- Google Analytics 4 — standard pageview, session, and event analytics. Google processes data according to its privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — session recordings, heatmaps, and click-tracking. Recordings are anonymised; sensitive form fields are masked by default. Microsoft processes data according to its privacy statement.
These tools may use cookies and similar technologies. You can disable them in your browser settings, or use a privacy extension. The site continues to work either way.
PowerPost.pk uses cookies for two purposes: (1) the analytics tools listed above, and (2) basic site functionality (preserving your reading session, remembering city selection on the load-shedding page).
We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles ourselves. If we add advertising or remarketing pixels in the future (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, LinkedIn Insight Tag, etc.), this policy will be updated and a clear disclosure will appear here before they go live.
Sponsored and paid content is always clearly labelled on the article. If we run third-party display advertising in the future, the ad network used will be disclosed here along with any tracking it relies on.
You have the right to: ask what personal data we hold about you, ask us to delete that data, opt out of the newsletter, and ask us to stop processing your data for any specific purpose. To exercise any of these rights, email powerpostpk@gmail.com with the request and the email address associated with your data. We aim to respond within 7 working days.
PowerPost.pk articles link to source publications (Dawn, The News, NEPRA, AEDB, PSX, etc.) and to other third-party websites where relevant. Those sites have their own privacy policies; we do not control them and are not responsible for their data handling.
We may update this policy as the site evolves or as we add new tools. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
