Pakistani oilfield services firm GCIL has secured a five-year gas processing contract from OGDCL covering a Sindh production field. The deal represents multi-year revenue visibility for GCIL and locks in stable processing capacity for one of OGDCL's producing assets.
Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has commenced commercial production from the Bobi Deep-1 well in Sindh, adding to the country's domestic hydrocarbon output and reinforcing Sindh's structural position as Pakistan's dominant onshore energy province.
MOL Pakistan has struck 26.5 MMSCFD of gas at the Bilitang-1 ST-1 well in Kohat — a Tal Block joint-venture discovery testing approximately 5,065 BOEPD from the Lumshiwal Formation, displacing an estimated USD 240–290 million per year in LNG imports.
OGDCL's Baragzai X-01 well in Kohat has begun commercial production, delivering 4,300 BPD of oil, 17 MMSCFD of gas, and 15 tonnes of LPG per day — roughly 10% of Pakistan's total crude output and an estimated USD 329 million in annual foreign-exchange savings.
